Senior Engineer
In our ongoing efforts to strengthen our technical team, we are actively searching for a skilled software engineer with experience from maritime industry, or an automation engineer with experience with software engineering. You will assume a leading role within our technical team. You will be responsible for a range of crucial tasks, including the ongoing development of our data collection, custom sensors and hardware platform. You will work close with our customers, spearheading customer-driven projects. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do, with close ties to software development, customer support, and sales across the organization. We maintain a strong presence alongside our customers, readily assisting them in identifying optimal solutions throughout the life cycle of our deliveries.
What Role Will We Trust You to Play in Our Team
As a leading Senior Engineer:
- You will take a leading role in our organization, driving technical decisions and R&D initiatives
- We will trust you with the responsibility for our hardware solutions.
- A big part of your direct responsibilities will be improving the onboarding and installation process, continuously improving our abilities to provide a full-fledged “screw-driver installation” solution.
- Your responsibilities will include guiding the Engineering and Customer Success teams to effectively address customer-driven needs and projects.
- You will be responsible for making sure our products meet the demands of our customers and that we meet the requirements set by governments, class societies or other ruling bodies in the markets we operate in.
- You will make sure that our customers and our sales organization have what they need in terms of documentation and supporting materials.
What experience are we looking for?
Requirements:
- Higher education within the fields of automation, electrical engineering, software engineering or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience, preferably working with digital systems in maritime industry
- Very solid industrial knowledge
- Familiarity with automation and control systems
- Excellent programming skills
- Strong interest in newer technologies
- Strong knowledge of industrial networks and network communication
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in English
Workplace: While this role is primarily office-based to optimize team collaboration, you have the flexibility to work remotely when it doesn’t affect productivity or teamwork.
